France's L'Oréal S.A. pushes for more cosmetics trademark applications in China

International cosmetics conglomerates are continuously stepping up their branding push on the Chinese market.

 

The database of the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration shows that from September through October, 62 applications for trademark registration filed by French personal care giant L'Oréal S.A., registered as 莱雅公司 in China, were under examination. 50 of the total fall under Class 3 covering non-medicated cosmetics and toiletry preparations and the like.

 

During the said time, 57 of the 62 applications for trademark registration were newly filed. 35 of the 57 applications fall under Class 3 for the registration of the trademarks such as 情有独钟, 致菁奢养, 天使异星, 天使焕燃异星, 幸运魔女, 水啵啵, HYDRO CLOUD, DETOX MILK, FAT OIL LIP DRIP, ANTIDOTE, COMIN'IN HOT, ULTIMATE MAJESTY, CIRQUE DE TRICKS, and CELL LONGEVITY BREAKTHROUGH.
