Shanghai Pudong District People’s Court Signed Cooperation Contract with Pudong District Intellectual Property Office

 Pudong New Area People's Court of Shanghai Municipality signed the Strict IP Protection on the Three Main Tasks from the Central Committee cooperation contract with Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Office, which aimed at strengthening cooperation, perfecting linkage system, contributing to the construction of the IP Protection Centre located in Pudong and co-constructing a legal business environment for strict IP protection in Pudong. Zhang Bin, vice president of Shanghai High People’s Court and Guan Xiaojun, vice district chief of Pudong District together inaugurated Judge Ni Hongxia’s Office.

Recently, an IP protection pattern in Pudong has formed with the characteristics of juridical protection, administrative protection, arbitration and mediation, and social supervision which provide strong support to establishing a internationalized, law-ruled and convenient environment for business and innovation in Pudong.

Wu Jinshui, acting president of Pudong People’s Court, stated,that to implement the three main tasks, the rule of law was an important safeguard whereas intellectual property mattered the most. The contract signed with the IP office was aimed at strengthening the cooperation, perfecting the linkage system, contributing to the construction of the IP Protection Centre located in Pudong and co-constructing a legal business environment for strict IP protection in Pudong.   

According to the contract, the Judge Ni Hongxia’s Office named after Ni Hongxia, judge of the IP Tribunal in Pudong People’s Court was established in the IP Protection Centre in Pudong on May 29.

Lin Benchu, director of Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Office, believed that the establishment of the Judge’s Office would accelerate the process of IP protection and coordinate the establishment of protection mechanism to provide support for the construction of a globally-influential IP protection center in Pudong.
