Tencent sued OPPO for unfair competition following a previous 80-million-yuan-claim

According to news on October 11, Tencent sued OPPO for unfair competition recently. The case will be heard on October 19 in the Wuhan intermediate people's court, and details of the case is not clear yet. Previously in May 2017, The two parties were involved in an unfair competition dispute where Tencent claimed for 80 million yuan. It is reported that OPPO mobile users were forced to register OPPO accounts once they downloaded the Tencent Mobile Manager (腾讯手机管家) app. The lawsuit was withdrawn in July 2018 after OPPO stopped the infringement.
