NCAC releases work plan under 14th Five-Year Plan

China’s National Copyright Administration (NCAC) on December 29 released the its work plan under the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). The work plan reviews the development of the country’s copyright enforcement under the 13th Five-Year Plan and identifies 26 major tasks in 6 key fields to accomplish in the 5 years to come.

The 6 key fields include legislation, the improvement of the administrative system of copyright enforcement, the application of copyright software, the improvement of the social service system of copyright enforcement, the international copyright enforcement, and the development of the copyright industry. Some legislative work identified includes the amendment of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Copyright Law of the People's Republic of China (《中华人民共和国著作权法实施条例》), whose previous amendment was in 2011, and the Regulations for the Collective Management of Copyright Regulations (《著作权集体管理条例》), whose previous amendment was in 2004, has been put on the agenda.
