China (Xi'an) Intellectual Property Protection Center Widened the Patent Fast Protection Channel

The replacement division of the patent pre-examination service of the China (Xi'an) Intellectual Property Protection Center has expanded to 40 IPC classification numbers and 15 Locarno classification numbers, after review and approval by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

In April 2020, China (Xi'an) Intellectual Property Protection Center officially cooperated with foreign parties to establish patent pre-examination services. After more than half a year of operation, the center is restricted by the division of pre-examination. Many patent applications of local institutions cannot enter the fast pre-examination channel, which cannot meet the needs of innovative entities in the high-end equipment manufacturing field in Xi’an. To further improve its service capabilities, the center has combed and analyzed the division of pre-trial filing cases. Through research and demonstration, it submitted a request for expansion and expansion of pre-trial supplementary areas to the CNIPA at the end of last year. The request was supported by the CNIPA because of sufficient research and detailed data.

The pre-examination services of the China (Xi'an) Copyright Protection Center, after the expansion, cover almost all types of enterprises in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Xi’an, scientific research institutions and small and medium-sized private enterprises with R&D capabilities, and further broadened the channels for rapid patent protection. It will provide a more efficient guarantee for the innovation of Xi'an equipment manufacturing industry.
