French National Institute of Industrial Property announced to launch a new property support project

In the recent Rendez-Vous Carnot held by the French Carnot Institute Association, the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) announced that it will launch a new knowledge for those public institutions and private companies that are cooperating property support project. With the help of this project called "Alliance PI", relevant companies and individuals can further improve their own capabilities and solve the current intellectual property problems. Thanks to INPI's professional background, the future cooperation between relevant parties will be carried out in accordance with a more stringent standard.

In this regard, Director Pascal Faure said: "The cooperation between academic institutions and the private sector has made a huge contribution to the promotion of innovation, and helps to create high value-added products and services with international market potential. It must be strong and durable. As well as an equal cooperation model, this is a very good form of industrial property protection. This is also the focus of Alliance PI's support project."

Therefore, Alliance PI support projects are mainly aimed at participants in various R&D or technology transfer activities, academic institutions, enterprises (especially small and medium enterprises and start-ups), and the overall structure that connects public institutions and private enterprises.

In addition, in order to strengthen the cooperation between public institutions and private companies in the field of intellectual property, INPI will use its in-house intellectual property consultants and professional lawyers to help innovators have a deep understanding of intellectual property issues and applicable rules. For example, INPI will give its own guidance on how to raise funds in a more equal way, how to prepare for negotiations, how to share rights, and how to determine the status of the parties in the contract.

Therefore, the Alliance PI support project will consist of the following three distinct parts:

Provide support for specific types of enterprises, such as SMEs and start-ups;

-Provide support for the cooperation between public institutions and private enterprises under the framework of competitiveness clusters;

-Provide training for technology centers and competitiveness clusters.
